As the highly anticipated National Tuna Congress draws near, preparations are in full swing with SFFAII working diligently together with its partners from the Local Government Unit of General Santos City, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Department of Trade and Industry, Philippine National Police Region 12, and the Local Tuna Industry Private Sector to curate a diverse program to make the gathering a significant milestone in the future of tuna industry.
The 23rd National Tuna Congress is set to take place at SM Trade Hall, 3rd Floor of SM City General Santos from August 31 to September 1, 2023 with the theme “Adapting Strategies Responsive to Global Changes”.

The 2-day congress, which will bring together experts and stakeholders, aims to address pressing global challenges faced by the tuna industry and promote sustainable fishing practices. SFFAII have spared no effort in planning an engaging and informative program, featuring panel discussions, presentations, and workshops covering a wide range of topics.
In addition to formal sessions, the congress will provide ample opportunities for networking and collaboration. Participants will have the chance to connect with peers, create new partnerships, and explore potential business opportunities. The event will also feature a Trade Exhibition where companies can showcase their sustainable fishing technologies, latest equipment, processing techniques, and value-added tuna products.
