To kick off the 3-day event, a 21st NTC (Tuna Congress) Caravan will make the rounds in city streets beginning at the General Santos Fish Port in Tambler, in the early morning of September 4, 2019, and finishing at SM City General Santos for the 21st NTC Mass. Thereafter, the 21st NTC Trade Exhibit will be opened to the public.
In the afternoon, the 2nd All About Handline Summit will happen at the 3rd floor area opposite the Trade Halls. The summit will serve as the 1st Public Consultation of the proposed Amendments of the Handline Fishing Law Implementing Rules and Regulations; Updates of Tuna Conservation Management Zone Program; and Fisheries Improvement Initiatives. Fellowship Dinner will follow by evening. Details of the venue are still being arranged as of press time.
The 21st National Tuna Congress Plenary Sessions will commence on September 5, 2019 with eight (8) topics. For the final day on September 6, 2019, eight (8) plenary topics will also be discussed by expert speakers.
